Just finished watching Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At worlds end. Well done movie which raps up the trilogy nicely. I was highly impressed with how the film opened. While seeing bodies, upon bodies, of pirates who have been hanged, a company man reads an order to the public stating that rights of habeas corpus and all freedoms and liberties associated with it, have been suspended, all people suspected of being or aiding a pirate are to be executed immediately. We watch a group of men hang, and see long lines of people awaiting their turn to die. A young boy is brought forward and with noose around his neck, he begins to softly sing, slowly other in the line begin to sing as well, until all the people waiting to be executed are singing loudly. It was a brilliant scene and a good movie. I Recommend seeing this film. What are your thoughts on the song, scene, and movie?
Edit: Heather left a link to download a version of the song that is longer than the one on the soundtrack, please note that it is not a 'full version', but it seems it is the longest one available. Download the extended version of Hoist the Colours here. Credit for the Original upload goes out to Wesker/Amesome-x. Thanks!
Edit 2: A lot of people have also been asking about the extra, after credits scene. Download the PotC3 after credits scene here. Credit goes of to Zemerick, from imperiuminferi. Thanks!
Edit 3: Thanks goes out to Revan for proving this Mp3 of Elizabeth's verse.
Edit 4: Thanks to Frankie for this Combined 'Full' Version. Right click and save as.
Edit 5: Here is the scene, Via Youtube:
Here are the "Hoist the Colours" Lyrics.
Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho,
thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will we'll roam.Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die. Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage...
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler's Green! The bell has been raised
from it's watery grave...
Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high...
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

I, too, loved the opening sequence. It reminded me of pictures I’ve seen of the Holocaust, where they piled up all the shoes. I loved the song, especially the little boy - his youth made it all the more sad when he was hanged. I’m also slightly irritated that the soundtrack cut out the middle part of the song, leaving it at only 1 1/2 minutes long.
I loved this song and opening seen in the movie! It was a terrible thing that was happening, but it shows how people can unite! I love how it was so powerful. It really made you think.
This is one of the most powerful opening scenes I have ever seen. I love it. To me it was one of the better scenes of the entire movie
I also agree that they should not have shortened the version of the song on the sound track.
I love that song. And it turns out to be quite important. Barbosa mentions to Sao Feng that “the song has been sung” while holding a piece of eight up. If you watch the opening scene, the boy also has a piece of eight. The lyrics to the song (emphasis added) are “The king [pirate king] and his men [the lords] took the queen from her bed [Calypso from the sea] and bound her in her bones. [locked her in human form]” This is the song that calls the Pirate brethren together and is a reminder of what they had done. Beckett, when told that they were singing, looks relieved and says “finally” as if he was expecting this to happen and is the signal he had been waiting for. So much detail in that movie. I love it! Glad you liked it to.
Oh my goodness. This song is so amazing. I totally agree with Adam. That’s really the theme of the entire movie. I had so many people who told me that they didn’t understand the film and I just thought of the song and how it tells the whole story before the movie even gets started. Awesome song.
hey kool song
can anyone email it to me!!! thanx
sugarbuz2010@aol.com
–sarah
i love this song its so cool the whole movie made me wish i were a pirate
This song is amazing. I never really noticed about the lyrics like Adam said, but now I do see that.
Thanks
that part of the movie (when the little boy was singing it) made me want to cry. it was soooo sad that he had to die, its just a little boy.
but i thought it was a wonderful movie.
Where can I get the version of the song that go by the mentioned Lyrics above? I’m going Crazy here! Is there another version of the song that I don’t know about?!
Anyway, I love the song, it sent the message of the movie out to us in the audience very well.
For those who want the ORIGINAL song from the movie, the link is: http://www.imperiuminferi.com/HTC.html
Remember to right click with your mouse and “save target as”. For those who can’t get it that way, you can e-mail me for it.
We can all thank Awesome-X for sending it to me and a friend of his for making it into a link.
lol And of course I forget my e-mail. randomhyperness0@gmail.com
Pirates 3 rules, but Calypso stuff was confusing i got lost a lot in the movie, like how in the very begging when Will is being held under water in that Chinese dudes place, how the Heck does he hold his breath so frekin long its not human, he holds his breath for like 10 min, i mean holy crap, yes i am freking out because the entire movie i sat there wondering how he did it.
Thanks heather for the link to the whole song!
it was an awesome movie if u have not seen it yet u should
I love this scene, along with the song,
very dramatic…
I too loved the song, very inspiring to musicians like me. However, the lyrics are “never SHALL we die,” and “where we will, WE’LL (we will) roam.”
deep stuff
good movie
Okay, so I’ve gotten a few e-mails stating that they can’t download from the site. So, I’ve made a little link of my own. This should do it. But again, if it doesn’t e-mail me at randomhyperness0@gmail.com.
The link: http://www.geocities.com/midnightfairy620/01_P3_Hoist_Opening_W__Vox_v5.mp3
Hopefully that works. It should open immediately with the command for Open, Save, or Cancel
I just checked the original download. it seems to be working fine, but it never hurts to have a back up. thanks again for providing the download.
I’m french, and I have heard that song in french … I love it, and, the thing is, it’s as beautiful in english !!
Now I’m happy, I was looking for the lyrics … and it’s easier to find them in english than in french ^^
Very good movie, very good scene, songs, and characters : that’s the least we can say !
Is there a full version of the song ? I loved the opening, I shivered through the whole song. i wouold love to hear the full version of it.
You should watch the movie again and listen for the melody of this song in the backround. it re-appears many times. A couple of examples i can remember is in the next scene elizabeth is singing it, and when the brethren are meeting it is being played in the backround. There are many more but i cannot remember them
The little boy is so sad but if you look close at his teeth you can see he’s wearing braces
This movie was the greatest movie that has ever been made. And that song was so good. Its even on my myspace.I went to see it twice. Also I just wonder how many of you waited after the credits. If you didn’t,you should next time.
I think that was one of the best movie opening scenes I’ve ever seen! That was actually one of the best scenes in the movie I think. I thought the movie was great as did my boyfriend who didn’t like the second movie at all (so that’s actually saying quite a bit lol). Definitely worth seeing, preferably in the theatre…the effects just won’t have the same effect at home.
The scene was amazing - absolutely stunning. The power built as the song raised in strength, the unity - the filming… the little boy! Poor little boy… he wins my soul.
hello!!!
how are you??
well I Think the movie was great !!
the song ir really sad!!! but I loved it!!
but I want you to tell that I downloaded the song! but it’s not complete!!!
it’s miss these parts:
Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage…
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler’s Green!
The bell has been raised
from it’s watery grave…
Do you hear it’s sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!
Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high…
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.
I hope You’ll answer me!!!
best wishes!!
AnDy
OMG!
I in really LOVE this song!
is that.. i dont know.. it expresee all that i feel for POTC xd. no no. I LOVE the scene.. I sow it and I thought “this movie is FANTASTIC, AMAZING, ETC ETC” and of course that is soooo good ;). in really, more “good”
I’m so mad at myself this moment! I walked out before the credits was done, and now I’ve heard that there were more after that:( I’m downloading the movie right now, but it seems to take a while… btw: I can’t find a full version of the song ad it pisses me off…
I’m slightly annoyed that they didn’t develope the little boy more. He played such a key role. He started the call, it would have been nice to see him again.
I hope that all of you stayed after the credits to see the epilogue. If not I recommend trying to find a way to see it, it will make some of you feel a lot better
I won’t reveal anything here. Oh, and as far as I know the clip was removed from Youtube so no go there. I do have a copy of the clip on this computer and find it interesting.
Hmm…I skipped that, but what you seem to be pointing at is that the boy is alive? Would make sense considering we never actually saw him hanging from the gallows. I will have to go watch the movie again to see the epilogue.
If anyone has the complete version of the song (the one provided on here is missing much of the song) please could you either email it to me (sfrancis@umassd.edu) or email me the link to the song. Thanks!
please mail me the complete song if u have it. Its simply Perfect for me and ill love to have it eduardo_sacco@hotmail.com

If anyone knows where to get the complete version of the song, OR the clip after the credits of the movie, please email the link to me at fireburn_yuiidragon@hotmail.com.

So this song is completely amazing. Very nice way to open up a movie.
However, since the opening weekend I’ve seen it twice, and twice neglected to stay for after the credits haha.
Someone please send me the link/ file for that clip if you have it.
email is
eepsters2@yahoo.com
cam anyone please send me the full version of the song and the last clip from the movie? I’m dying to see it!
*can
I loved the entire movie, but the opening scene with the little pirate boy initiating the call was awesome. I’ve been looking for an excude to go see it again, so I’m glad I found this site with hints in the comments section that I missed something by leaving during the credits. I’m going back again to see the movie again.
And yeah, if anyone knows where to find a recording of the full song, please let the rest of us know. Thanks.
i totally agree! the opening scene was sooooooooo powerful! (and a tear jerker.. though i was kinda upset that some of my friends didn’t like it.. cause they found it confusing:(
and share the link(if anyone has it) so that everyone can enjoy the full version of hoist the colours and be HAPPY!:)
I love this song! It makes the movie even better!!!
I saw the movie yesterday, and just loved that part! I loved the whole movie, though…
Im really angry at myself for leaving before the credits were over, since I read that you see Will and Elizabeth’s son..I’ve also read that because of Elizabeths strong love for Will, the curse was broken. That makes me happy
Im so gonna buy this movie when it comes out on DVD!
Hey yeah great song, great scene nad yeah, the tune is repeated many other time sin the movie, like the davy jones/jack sparrow sword fight near the end… but anyone to tell me the kid had braces ore only rotten teeth????? And I’m not sure..I loved the movie but still I felt it was kinda missing something…
hey and by the way, thanks for the song!!!
i love this movie and im seeing it tomorrow aswell so i will look out for the end scene.
its on of those of films that you want to watch again and again. you have to pay alot of attention to it because it can be a bit confusing
it is a brilliant film!!! im watchin it tomorrow so i will look out for the end scene.
its one of those films that you want to watch over and over again. this song is brill im obssessed with it. although i do warn you it can be confusing so pay alot of attention and read the other comments!!!
bye
woops i made two comments by accident!!!
make that 3, amber. haha
That is one awesome song… I love the main scene of the movie… specially with that song, still giving me some “chills” to the bone…
Thanks for sharing the lyrics and the song!
Cheers!
Ah, this song is so amazing, and i loved the opening of the film. That was really .. uh.. i don’t know, but it was a bad feeling, to see the boy there.
And i think that it was the same boy, who played wills son after the credits O_o..
and, if someone find the complete song, please email to heartless-soul@gmx.net
Of course I forgot to write my email when I asked for the full version of the song and the clip from the end of the movie, so here it is: kjersti_vika@hotmail.com
If you happen to have one(or both) of these, please share it with me!:)
Btw: I totally loved the movie and the song. Love how the song(which starts the entire movie)actually tells the whole story:)
A pirate’s life for ME!
What I noticed most in this scene, were the political statements made, “Right to an attorney, suspended. Habeas Corpus, suspended.” They were really taking a stab at the Bush administration there. Wonderful scene, gave me goosebumps.
For those asking, the song posted IS the full song. Its actually a recording from when the movie was being made. The reason only half the lyrics appear, is the only time they are used is those are the words elizabeth is singing as she rows in to singapore. Sadly, there wasn’t a complete song that had the lyrics from beginning to end.
Also, I wanted to see that some credit could get put out, http://www.countingdown.com/movies/3493773/board?viewpost=3965036 is where it originally started circulating, Wesker was the person that got ahold of the song from a friend that worked on PoTC:3, and was the one that posted the file to listen to. They continued to email it to any that asked, and as I noticed this was quickly becoming a large list, I jumped in and hosted the file on my site. As far as I can tell the original problem with downloading the song might have been the underscores. It worked for most, but some versions of some browsers had problems. I made a number of changes so not entirely sure what the culprit was, but the file download is working great so far.
I am glad so many people have enjoyed this song as much as I did, and I am happy to help share it. Sorry that it isn’t more complete, everyone should send letters, emails etc. to hans zimmer and ask him to rerecord it with the other lines:)
PS: I too would like I copy of the scene after the credits, as I did not get to see it. As with the song, I could also throw it up and host it if I can just get my hands on a copy first:)
Questions, comments, flames, concerns, or anything else ( ESPECIALLY that final scene ), email is: zemerick13@yahoo.com
Zemerick,
He was noted as the original owner of the song, thing is, he is known as a different name on livedigital.com or where ever it is that he has it posted. I did not claim it as my own, merely provided the song to others.
You can check for yourself. Its listed as May 27th at around 10 something at night. It should say Awesome-X
I didn’t read the replies closely enough and missed you giving the credit. What I had been referring to was not someone trying to claim it as their own, simply that the original post stated “Someone had uploaded the song to listen to,”, but not citing who, and in my state of lack of sleep, I didn’t notice in your link saying who the someone was:)
Got some good news also. I found the scene after the credits, all though it is horrible quality. I believe encoded with DiVX, done with a camera by someone who can’t sit still. the file size is actually smaller than the mp3:) But, its something atleast, http://www.imperiuminferi.com/AfterCredits.html
As usual, if theres any problems, email me at zemerick13@yahoo.com
Zemerick, who exactly should I give the credit to for the download links? I’ll fix it as soon as I’m sure who it needs to go to. Also, If you wouldn’t mind, I would like to post a link to the ‘After Credits’ scene at the top in the initial blog post so that other people can easily find it without having to dig through the comments.
Thanks
thx for the song, I saw the movie and I knew I must to have this song ! it’s so powerful ! mmmmmmmm ! thanks very much !!!
KiSs !
have you noticed will has got his ear pierced and not in the other two films!!!
Thanks for the extended version of the song!
The opening scene is brilliant, as well as the entire movie. I simply love pirates
I was quite dissapionted when I heard the soundtrack version, but thanks to you I’ve got the whole thing now
As a lot of you have said it’s a very strong scene, the opening - I love how were really told everything before it begins, and we don’t notice until the movies is done %D
But the boy who sings it - someone mentioned, that they’d like if he had returned. For you who stayed until after the credits: that boy looked a lot like the one who began singing, didn’t he? Or is it just me? I didn’t get a good look ^^
The original person to post the song was Wesker/Amesome-x , as heather pointed out they are the same person, different boards, different names. Of course you may post the link to the after credits, I put it here so others can see it:)
If anyone has a part of a film when Elizabeth is singing that song please send it! Just at the beggining she is singing almost whole song. Where can I find it?
best regards
hey all!
quick question.
does anyone have the version of this song that elizabeth dings? i think her (if its hers) voice is haunting and i LOVE it. can anybody help?
i would also love the ending clip since i left b4 the credits were over. thanks!
tryharmony7@aol.com
cheers!
jess
the song is great I love it ;] pozdrowienia z Polski sorry za błedy ;]
I also got chills from this song, and it made me truly realize how evil Beckett was… Hang a child without a fair trial. (As for the boy, it’s not the same as the boy in the end, the actors have different names in the credits.)
This song reminds me kind of of workers’ songs and slave songs, the songs the poor have always sung to give a feeling of brotherhood and togetherness. It’s such a powerful song, and even as they were walking to the gallows they kept their heads high. Love it. Love it.
Thanks for the song, really.
I think the scene was so powerful, and it gave a very good first impression of the movie. If they’d hopped right to the Elizabeth-scene, I think the movie would’ve had more of a joking impression to it. This made the movie a bit more serious, a bit darker.
anyone out there who happens to have the extended version of the song? (The part where Elizabeth is singing)
Could you PLEASE sand it to me?:)
My e-mail is: kjersti_vika@hotmail.com
Please email me the full MP3 of Hoist the Colours. I can’t seem to get it off any of these websites. Thanks.
Poethippy@yahoo.com
The movie was amazing, the song Hoist The colours was completely powerful, every thing about it has been posted by other comments.
But if i could please get the full version of the song as well sent to my email that would be awesome.
GaaraSandGaara@hotmail.com
Thank you! ^.^
For Adam: The boy wasn’t holding one of The 9 Pieces of Eight(tm), as those were just pieces of junk. He was holding a Spanish dollar. All of which reverberated with the song after it was sung. (like when Captain Sao Feng puts the coin to his ear)
Also, chances are that kid, however cute and honey-voiced, was a pirate and at least help grown up pirates kill, rape and pillage. Pirates who in their “unity” still betrayed each other at every turn when they thought it would benefit them.
But yeah, it’s fiction. (;
this song is kick ass
chat with me
at
http://www.olegator.com
The melody is in the background in those scenes that are mentioned in it’s lyrics, like:
Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage…
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler’s Green!
part when pirates are in the locker and searching for the green light.
As for the kid, you can see him (or one that looks like him) in the last scene (10 years later). In my opinion the first scene is actualy the last one. I think it takes place after the bonus scene. If you’ll actually look at the table in one of the scenes you can see that Becket collected only seven coins. The eight is the one will’s son has in the first scene. But I have no idea where’s the ninth piece of eight.
Part 4 maybe??
just wanted to point out a difference in lyrics between the soundtrack and the “Extended version”
in the extended version, when the men join in, they say “all hands” instead of “haul together”
Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho,
thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.
The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will we’ll roam.
Yo, ho, all hands,
hoist the Colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never say we die.
it was so good that i want to try and sing this song in my high school
interesting discussion about the little boy at the begining of the movie. he was holding a spanish dollar/ coin. but like some one earlier mention that lord becket have several piece of the same coin on the table when he was talking to capt. jack sparrow earlier in the movie before the Chinese pirate lord attack and escape with the black pearl.
not sure if i’m making any sense. if you do understand, can anyone interpret that part?
[...] Of course POTC also has pirate songs. First there was Yo Ho, Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life for Me, and the latest one has Hoist the colors. [...]
I would just like to point out that the boy in the end scene and at the start are completly different.
The end scene would have been better if they added on the deleted scene about Elizabeth’s love for Will broke the curse. Also Will has got his ear pierced and not in the other 2 films and at the start in Singapore (I think thats how you spell it) when Will was under the water in the tub … next scene you see him in, he is out of the tub.
Yea the kid in the first scene gets hung though they never show him actually falling you see the hangman pull the lever to kill him off just before they cut to the next part. And Becket dies at the end so the first scene really can’t be after. Has any one managed to get the part of the song where Elizabeth is singing? If so would you mind sending me the song at Doh573@yahoo.com? Thanks
i love the movie and the song
[...] ich ebenfalls im Internet fand, wurde da wohl nur ein Ausschnitt gesungen, denn hier steht noch etwas mehr von dem Text, welcher dann so lautet: Yo, ho, haul together, hoist the Colors [...]
Does anyone know where you can get the full version of Hoist The Colors?
i love all of the movies and the music. They are just amazing!!!
Where can I get the version of the song that go by the mentioned Lyrics above?
the problem with getting the full version is that there was no full version recorded, its split in 2 parts in the movie, the first part is in the opening scene and so they put that on the soundtrack to the movie which i bought but the second part is sung by elizabeth in the next seen as she rows a small boat through singapore and they leave it out in the soundtrack…best you can do is get a large group of friends together and record yourselves singing it and use a program to loop the background music from the opening scene into it, thats what i plan to do
if u pay attention to the scene in shipwreck cove, the “9 pieces of 8″ are actually 9 pieces of junk that the 1st pirate lords had used to bind calypso to her human form, and passed down to their successors, the coins were merely something the pirates carried and Beckett had taken the coins off of dead pirates, when the song was sung in the beginning, it sent out a call to all other pirates to signal that the brethren court was needed, and so they convened at shipwreck cove…i don’t know how the call is sent out through the coins but it could’ve been something mystical i guess. and yes, the boy in the beginning does die unfortunately, and the one after the credits is completely different.
if anyone has any other questions about the movie feel free to email me at smackconnor@hotmail.com and i will try to reply asap, as far as the song, i hope the people at disney realize how big that song is and re-record it and maybe sell it as a single
im sorry but i think some of ur lyrics mite be rong : /
Am I the only one who thought that the boy who was hung at the beginning looked like Will’s child later on?
I mean, it may have no actual significance, but my friends and I all think that.
Or, I could be completely wrong.=]
The two children are different.
The beginning scene is not the last scene.
Her love for Will does not break the curse (unless it’s a deleted scene, as someone mentioned-in which case it would just be a really crappy ending).
And I’m also jumping on the bandwagon. If anybody can find a full version (With Elizabeth singing) of the song, please send it to me as well. Thanks in advance: fzhang07@gmail.com
im from mexico and i´ve watched the movie twice…i think the movie is brilliant i just loved it (i love the other two as well) but the beggining of the movie when the song is sang was awesome i must admit some tears came to my eyes when i was listening to the song. it was the best beggining of the three movies for me…
You can find a decent clip of the end on Youtube.com if you type in “Pirates of the Caribbean at Worlds End after the credits”
Also the boy at the beg. and the end are def. two different boys. The one at the beginning is listed as Brendyn Bell and the boy at the end is Dominic Scott Kay.
MP3 FOR “HOIST THE COLOUR” CAN GET AT LIMEWIRE.
I would like to thank people for reading my comment about the two boys being different.
Also if anyone is confused about the film the plot is on the wilkepedia which might help you to understand it more.
Did anyone understand that german comment?
Hey!
I never really got that first bit of the Movie untill now! I absolutley agree, there is ALOT of detail in this Movie. The critics panned it because “It went for over three hours”, but I like a long Movie. I bet that it was just there incompetent minds that couldn’t understand the sophistication and detail of POTC At Worlds End.
Heh, in the wise words of Captain Barbossa, “There be many long words there, were not but humble pirates”
I love the movie and I have watched it twice.
But isn’t the song called “Raise the Colors” instead of “Hoist the Colors”?
Hm.
Hello my name is jeffey im from holland
ware can i download the full version
please e-mail me
jeffrey_dagelet@hotmail.com
Thanx 4 the song lyrics!
Two points for other people leaving messages -
Lots of people are saying that the little boy wears braces - he doesn’t, in fact he just has very dirty teeth.
The Calypso thing - she’s the goddess of the sea, and the pirate court bind her so that they can control the sea, not her. Her lover, Davy Jones, tells them how to bind her and release her. She is betrayed by this, but we do not know if it was before of after this that he became the captain of the flying Dutchman. An added extra (this is supported by interviews) is that you only have to be the captain of the flying dutchman for 10 years, and then you can be set free - but only, ONLY, if your true love is there for you when you come to shore at the end of that time. ‘It is my nature’ (Tia Dalma) is a pretty lame excuse, but she is a goddess. *shrugs*. This explains why DJ was soooo upset and betrayed by her when she failed to turn up - she condemned him to ten more years of ferrying the dead. So he rebelled, and got all tenticaly. Hence ‘After which betrayal did you cut your heart out, I wonder?’ They’ve both betrayed each other.
We know (It’s in the scene after the credits) that Liz is there for Will (with their child) after ten years, so he is no longer bound to the ship.

(Any more questions? Email me ” pirate_erin@hotmail.co.uk)
But the flying dutchman must always have a captian. So if said captain is free then who’s to take over?!
Besides he’s dead, how does he come back to life?!
The movie is really great… I saw it twice and don’t have words to describe it..
Thkx for the extra part.. I missed it.. =( oops and for the song as well!!!
Kisses from Portugal..
I loved the opening scene. It was quite powerful and it somehow delivered a message without really making it obvious. The scene made the hair on my hands stand up. It was really a nice song and it really added to the effect of the scene. Very impressive and beautiful song! Too bad the song’s cut short. I wish it was really long with the part from the end where Elizabeth encourages all the pirates to sing. Really hope it would go on!

It’s been confirmed by the writers that Will is not bound to the ship. In a deleted scene Davy Jones tells Tia Dalma (there is a link on wikipedia for the proof of this) and in the final scene where will returns there is (again, proven by directors) a flash of green light which signifies a sould coming back to earth so Will lives again.
As for the Dutchman always having a captain, who knows? Appointed perhaps? Remember Davy Jones only had to ferry people to the ‘land of the dead’ as punishment andturned to a fish person wen he stopped after 10 years because he was then bound to the ship. So maybe the Dutchman stops duty? Who cares, links can be found and there is a deleted scene which will no doubt show up on the DVD (20 minutes worth the directors have said wasdeleted).
Aboutthe song, i loved it. not so keen the first time but the 2nd it was excelent and really emotional. Very good start.
And as forthe guy claiming the first scene takes place after, you think too much mate. Accept it for what it is, and don’t look too far. 1) by the time the kid would have been 10, Beckett would have been dead a good decade. 2, the pieces of 8 weren’t actually pieces of eight, and 3, as Tia Dalma and Barbossa say ‘the song has been sung’. I suggest though, from that conclusion you like the matrix?
Its so funny looking at peoples comments how they are all trying to suss this film all out. I think every one can say its is a brilliant film and the song is excellent!!!
bye for now
